Rounded House

Rounded House, Privlaka near town of Zadarx

Design:2017
One-unit, two stories high, house for family with three children with pool next to the ground floor terrace. The house is located on flatt ground, in the edge zone of the building area of the Privlaka municipality, near town of Zadar. The plot is separated from a pine forest by public road, which has a significant impact on mild climate during the winter and summer months. The building is shaped by the condition of the building plot, at the intersection of the streets whose axes are crossed by the directions that form a obtuse angle. Volume is devided on the ground floor in the direction of the northwest (towards the open pool) and a compact first floor surrounded by the inner circular staircase . The staircase is a vertical axis that connects the floors and at the same time highlights the basic character of the house – a corner to which the surrounding space is oriented. The circular shaping, begun by the staircase, is continued through the rounding of the roofs and roof floors, and ended with visible constructive architectural elements – columns of the circular section.
